Mitutoyo 517-906-1 Black Granite Surface Plate, 600 x 600 x 75mm, Grade 1

The Mitutoyo 517-906-1 is a 600 × 600 × 75 mm black granite surface plate to BS 817 grade 1, supplied without stand. It provides a flat, stable reference surface for inspection, marking out and setting measuring instruments.

Natural granite does not deteriorate or change dimension over time. Compared with cast iron it is twice as hard, non-magnetic and has low thermal expansion. Its fine grain structure leaves no burrs or protrusions, so it keeps a high degree of flatness over a long service life without damaging workpieces or instruments, and it does not wring.
